Gilbert also played with the doo wop vocal duo, The Perez Brothers, and the late Rulie Garcia aka Johnny Chingas, who wrote and recorded both serious and comic songs.

Mark Guerrero interviews three members of The Reckless Night Ensemble about their album Pan-Americanos, which includes seven Lalo Guerrero songs, "Vamos a Bailar," "16 Pounds," "Los Angeles," "Adan y Eva," "Me Gusta El Cha Cha Cha" (on which Mark is the guest lead vocalist), "Barrio Viejo," and "El Chicano." The arrangements of all the songs were transcribed from Lalo's original recordings. Mark's guests are guitarist/arranger Skip Heller, band leader/bassist Nick Ornelas, and vocalist Angelica Villareal.

Malo classics such as "Nena" and "Cafe" are played, as well as their mega hit song "Suavecito." This interview was audiotaped in 2003 for an article on Malo Mark wrote for his website.

APB, a band from East L.A., was led by Aaron Ballesteros who's best known as the drummer for Tierra and many other top Chicano/Latino artists. On APB’s recordings, made between 2004 and 2013, Aaron was producer, arranger, chief songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Due to Aaron’s health issues, Mark interviews his son Adam on his father’s behalf. Also interviewed on the show are two members of APB, guitarist Dennis Alvarez and vocalist Gilbert Stokes. APB’s style of music includes elements of rock, R&B, Latin, and ballads. Aaron and Gilbert also played and recorded with El Chicano in the early 80s.

Mark Guerrero interviews Hank Barrio and Tom Bray of Elijah, a 70s horn band from East L.A. Elijah recorded two albums in the late 60s as the Evergreen Blues and two in the early 70s as Elijah. After Elijah, Hank and Tom separately went on to perform and record with some of the greatest artists of our time including Neil Young, Albert King, Hoyt Axton, Delaney Bramlett, and Buddy Miles and the Electric Flag. Some of the best Elijah recordings are discussed and played and experiences from Hank and Tom's career with these artists are shared.

His music has developed into an eclectic blend of bluegrass, roots, and world music, drawing influences from India, Tibet, Africa, and Latin America. He's a concert artist in his own right and has performed with artists such as Joan Baez, Maria Muldaur, and Ramblin' Jack Elliot. Tim also had the honor of performing for the Dalai Lama.

Mark Guerrero interviews English rock singer/songwriter/guitarist Terry Reid. Terry and his band opened for the Rolling Stones and Cream in the 1960s. Because he had an album out and was touring with the Stones, he turned down the lead vocal job for the band who would become Led Zeppelin. In the 60s, Aretha Franklin was quoted as saying, "The best things to come out of England are the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Terry Reid." On this show the best of Terry's two solo albums of the 70s are featured. The first one, "Seed of Memory," was produced by Graham Nash. This is the second episode of my new show, Rock Doc Chronicles.
